PSALM 1

You Did This for Me

 

They say you know my heart,

If I come to your cross,

My sins will be gone, and I will be free.

You did this for me? You did this for me.

 

The world has said that God is dead;

And my desires and happiness get me ahead.

I have come up empty on the lies I have believed on this sinful road.

Is it too late to know if God’s real and can save my wretched soul?

They say you know just where I have been;

If I come to your cross,

My sins will be gone, and I will be free.

You did this for me? You did this for me.

 

I am living in the valley of my despair.

I do not feel love and no hope is there; is God alive? Does he care?

Wake me up inside.

Bring me to life.

God, help me, to be glorified!

 

I know you know my heart,

I know you know where I have been.

I have come to your cross,

My sins are gone, and now I am free.

God is alive!

Halleluiah, He did this for me!  He did this for me!
